MY FINAL IS OVER.

I feel like my life is over too. I am so scared for my grades. I thought I did ok while I was taking the exam ( always a bad sign) and it turns out I did one bad thing on each essay. (This is for Criminal Law)

On the first one I did not discuss the fact that the bartender got the guy drunk on purpose. (They got him drunk, stole his wallet and then he got into an accident and killed 2 people.) So I guess i was supposed to mention the fact that the bartender had the ability to get him drunk. I didn't really realize that when I wrote the paper and just slapped a little line in at the end that if the bartender could somehow be found responsible, he would be found guilty of all of the drunk guy's crimes.

And then on the second question there was an assault with a deadly weapon, and then the guy died. So I initially decided not to write on the ADW, and then when I finished the last essay went back in and added it, but didn't finish. Also, I wrote the paper in a funny order. It just made so much more sense to me to write MUrder, then Defenses, and then Voluntary manslaughter because the murder could be mitigated down to manslaughter but that wouldn't make sense unless you read my defense section first. I don't know if he will dock for that. I just did not like it the other way.

THen on the last essay I missed the boat completely and I am getting more and more upset. It was a question about negative acts- which is failure to act? So this guy goes to jail because his friend ratted him out. He swears to "kill him" the first chance he gets. So after he gets out of prison the rat calls him and says he's trapped under a car because the jack broke while he was changing the tire and he's trapped. Mr Criminal agrees to call 911. but he doesn't.

I wrote the negative acts part like it was a crime in itself, but apparently I was supposed to write an attempted murder discussion because he said he was going to "kill him" the first chance he got, and then failed ot act to save him so he tried to kill him essentially. I didn't get that when I was writing it. I didn't understand, and I didn't udnerstand why the intro about killing him was even there.

i am getting more upset. I wrote good papers, but I missed issues. RICE AND BEANS. :(

i am so sad and scared I realy need a B+ on this exam and I don't think there is any way I got it. So if Ididn't get it, then I am going to have to get B-'s in Torts and Contracts and I don't think that's realistic. And then I will flunk out again. I then I will crawl in a hole and cry.

I am worried.

On a funny note, I got home late, and my cats decided that this was unacceptable behavior on my part so they dumped a glass of water on my head while I was sleeping. Not kidding! It was on my headboard, and Amelia stuck her paw in the glass and dumped it on me.

I am going to make her call granny (the family therapist) and talk about this unacceptable behavior towards her Mommy!

IT'S 8:52PM...

and I am at school "studying." I put that in quotes because, OBVIOUSLY, I am actually writing a blog and not studying. But I wanted to share with my fan base of 1 (Hi Kristin!LOL) that I got my grades for my first semester of law school "The Sequel." (Since this is my second time and all, lol.)

So I got a B- in Criminal Law in October, 3rd highest score in the class- Horray!

Then Friday and Saturday they posted our other grades.

Contracts = C
Torts = C-

I was REALLY worried I had gotten D's, so I guess I am relieved, but I am not happy. I am worried. I need to get a B+ in Criminal Law now to try and fix it, and I am optimistic because I did so well on the midterm, but I don't know. I mean, if I hadn't managed my time so poorly I could have written a better essay on my last question and very possibly could have gotten an A on the exam. SERIOUSLY. I got a 90, and 85 and a 65(!) on my essays. I only got the 65 because I didn't finish the essay. Obviously I knew the answers and how to write a good paper. Seriously... I did great on that exam. So it is totally possible that I could get a B+, but it is still a long shot.

And for me, I have to have an overall grade of C+ to pass first year, a 2.3overall GPA. Right now I have a 1.98 including summer session. So I have to do REALLY well from here on out. I am close, but not there yet. I would feel alot better if I had gotten even 5 points more on my Contracts and Torts midterms. And I know, I was so grateful to not get a D on either, but still... it wasn't good enough.

I stil somehow did better than the smarty-pants in my study group, but ya know. Girls are better than boys anyway.

:O)

TAGGED! (Questionaire)

Sorry Kristin, took me forever to do this, but I did it! Here we go!

A. Each player has to list 6 facts/habits about themselves

B. At the end of the post, the player tags 3 people and posts their names

1.) I have had my fantasy girl baby names picked out since about 1988... when "Avonlea" premiered on Disney and I discovered the world of Lucy Maud Montgomery and her Anne of Avonlea books. Anne, Felicity, Cecily, Olivia are old favorites that I WILL use! Charlotte is a newer favorite. I also love th character Gus on the series, but settled for Benjamin, Gabriel, Patterson, and William as boy's names, which are not from the series. But regardless, those names have been around forever for me. AND IF YOU USE THEM YOU WILL PAY! (My nephew already named his rat Charlotte and I can't tell you how lucky he is I didn't hurt him for it!)

2.) I always, always, always wanted to live in a little white two story house with a wrap around porch and 2 dormer windows on the second story. I even went so far as to design a floorplan, and arrange imaginary furniture on some graph paper in elementary school. The house had a white picket fence, and chest-height hydrangea bushes all the way around, which bloomed big flowering heads in summer.

3.) I am a total and complete slob. I don't know how to change. I don't like to clean, I don't like picking up after myself and my house is a disaster 99% of the time. I even pay my friends to come over and clean my house for me. I have SO much stuff I don't know what to do with it all! I have my fingers crossed I won't have to move for a loooong time. It takes me SO long to unpack, I haven't even really settled in here at my new condo yet. It's in a constant state of disaster and this box or that box is always laying everywhere. It will take me at LEAST another six months to get it sorted out and more like a home, if not much, much more than that! Maybe another year? I just hate cleaning and organizing SO MUCH!

4.) I really want to get married and have a partner in life. I am really lonely, and I love being in a relationship. I have also realized, I am really not ready to be with someone else. I have this constant thought in my head now about how there really is this guy out there for me, and I can even picture what's he's like in my head, and how we will be together, and this nagging feeling says I am going to be alone for a long time before I find him- because I am just not ready yet. When I am ready, he will be there. But in the meantime, I am on my own.

5.) My family drives me up the wall. I love them, but I can't stand them at the same time. I always play nice, and never pick fights, or get emotional in front of them (or I try not to) but they all really upset me and make me feel down alot of the time. I don't think there is anything I can do about it either. It makes me really sad. They put me down for things I really hold dear and love about myself- like being well-rounded. I love that I have so many interests and talents and have had so many experiences in life and they shake their heads and say, "Jack of all trades, master of none..." Jerks.

6.) I may be fat, but I hiked Half Dome in Yosemite, 17.5 miles round trip from Glacier Point to through Little Yosemite Valley, camped overnight two miles past LYV and 100 yards off the trail, and to the base of the Dome. I hyperventilated and my Dad got mad and we didn't do the last part of actually going on top of the dome ( I was afraid I would fall off and die, and since my Dad had filled me with stories of this as an actual possibility, not just on the way up there, but my whole life, this was a very real and logical fear. ) But we then cam edown the Mist Trail to the Valley floor.

Interesting story, we got to the Valley floor at an odd time and there was no way for us to get back to Glacier Point where we had left the car. This woman in her early to mid twenties who was totally weird- goth in a Park uniform and a lip ring offered to give us a ride to Glacier Point for free. ( She worked at the food stand at the bottom of the trail.) It was over an hour drive for her, and she kept us entertained the entire way with tales of giving her daughter up for adoption to a nice couple who couldn't have children, fighting with her mother, and constantly being mistaken for Mexican because of her last name, when she was in fact Portuguese, which I actually correctly guessed when she started telling the story. We stayed at the historic Wawona Hotel that night and my legs ( right leg specifically from coming down the Mist Trail and stepping down on that leg the whole way down) hurt so bad they shook and I limped everywhere for days. We also got stuck in a room with the bathroom down the hall in a big communal lockerroom, which was fine, but not the luxury I really craved after the hell of the last 24-48 hours!

DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW, IN A GREAT BIG FAMILY VAN.

I have had such a hard time these last couple of years. I hope I will grow out of it soon. Cross your fingers for me.

I was in Salt Lake last week, having a fabulous time with the fabulous Kristin catching up and playing with the kiddos. I have this long list of things to do because Kristin taught me all these neat tricks and receipes! I already cooked Rosemary Chicken, which was pretty tasty if I do say so myself. I am going to make some Chocolate pretzels for gifts, and then o round this out so it isn't ALL about food, I am also going to figure out how I can I start advertising in the LDS Institutes which are apparently on college campuses everywhere! I gotta email Trevor about that.... Hmmm.

My friend Erin had her baby, Baby Nicholas, and my friend from elementry school had her baby, Baby Heather- it is a baby-filled December! No Pictures yet, I probably won't meet Natalie's new daughter, but I am hoping to see Nicholas soon!

This is my first snow man. I am naming him Fred. He has a heighth deficiency.

(Ok, slight delay, I was still loading them onto the computer when I wrote this, here they are!)

Oooh, snow.

Lydia-Pooh

Lacey-Pooh! and Lukey-Pooh!

I have no idea why I am calling them Poohs. lol

This is the much debated wreath for the Peterson's front door. Check out Fred on the corner step! Isn't he the cutest snowman you ever saw?

I am so depressed. I am so unhappy in my personal life. David and I broke up May 18th and I have been screwed up ever since. I miss him so much and I am so miserable without him. I miss him every second of the day, although I am crying alot less.

He came over tonight to build stuff for me. Hammer and nail and hang stuff. he did a great job. At first I thouht about what a cute butt he has. And then I just wished so much he would give me a hug.

I miss him so much. :(
